Bunjil’s 1st birthday extravaganza

Bunjil Place is a vibrant community hub.

Bunjil Place is throwing a huge party to celebrate its 1st birthday.

A huge day of celebrations is planned for Sunday 28 October 2018, which will include roving entertainment, food trucks and even a giant birthday cake.

Bunjil Place is a significant community precinct in Melbourne’s southeast, boasting an outdoor community plaza, theatre, multipurpose studio, library, gallery, function centre and the City of Casey Customer Service Centre.

Located at 2 Patrick Northeast Drive, Narre Warren, the $135 million building spans a whopping 24,500m2.

Over the past year, Bunjil Place has hosted children’s musicals, markets, festivals, school musicals – just to name a few.

Bunjil’s 1st birthday event will feature a host of family-friendly activities.

The birthday event is FREE and will take place at Bunjil Place Plaza (2 Patrick Northeast Drive, Narre Warren) from 10am-5pm.

Tickets to performances in the theatre are ticketed events (but must be booked ahead and tickets are limited to four per person).

 

The Bunjil Place birthday celebrations will include:
– Giant party games
– Roving entertainers The Monstrosities and The Seagulls
– The Bunjil Glam Station (a place where you can get glammed up and ready to party!)
– Green Screen GIF station (perfect for taking some party shots)
– Party decoration workshops
– Food trucks, including Little Sugar Caravan and Let’s Waffle and Shake
– Buskers in the plaza- Roaming book character and face painting in the library
– Formal birthday presentation in The Plaza, including cutting of the giant birthday cake
– Performances in the theatre. The Listies make you LOL in the Theatre (10.30am and 1pm) and By a Thread in the Studio (general admission has sold out)
