Spooktacular events this Halloween

A host of Halloween events will be held in Casey and Cardinia.

Get ready little ghosts and ghouls… a host of spooky events will be held in Casey and Cardinia this Halloween.

Here’s our guide to what’s on!

 

FRIDAY 26 OCTOBER, 4PM-7PM

HALLOWEEN PARTY

THOMPSON PARKWAY SHOPPING CENTRE, CRANBOURNE

Have a spooky time with your kids at Thompson Parkway Shopping Centre’s Halloween Party.

Trick or treat in a family-friendly environment. There will be costumed characters in different locations around the centre handing out (individually wrapped) candy.

Also features kids rides and a costume parade, with prizes for the best dressed child under 6 years, and the best dressed child aged 6-12 years.

 

 

SATURDAY 27 OCTOBER, 11AM-2PM

HALLOWEEN TRICK N TREAT TOTE BAGS

CASEY CENTRAL SHOPPING CENTRE

Kids can decorate a Halloween tote bag ready in time for Wednesday’s Trick or Treating.

The free workshop will be held outside Woolworths.

 

SATURDAY 27 OCTOBER – SUNDAY 28 OCTOBER, FROM 10AM

GUMBOOYA HALLOWEEN SPECTACULAR

Join the ghouls amongst the gum trees for a Halloween spectacular at Gumbuya World.Hotel Transylvania characters are bringing their fiendishly funny stage show   four times daily at 11.30am, 1pm, 2.30pm and 4pm!

There will also be a trick or treat treasure hunt, face painting, costume competitions plus unlimited rides and slides.Limited early bird tickets available: $40 child, $45 Adult & $40 Senior.

SUNDAY 28 OCTOBER, 10AM-12PM

LAKESIDE HALLOWEEN AND WELCOME BACK DRAGON PARTY

Dress up in your best Halloween outfit and head to Dragon Park (cnr of Arbor Rise and Clearwater Drive).Hosted by Lakeside Residents Group, the event will feature a jumping castle, pinata, colouring in, face paiting and barbecue.

Cost is $5 per child for non-members. Membership to the Lakeside Residents Group costs $20.

 

SUNDAY 28 OCTOBER

HALLOWEEN AT DANDENONG MARKET, 10AM-3PM

CLOW STREET AND CLEELAND STREET

Visit the Dandenong Market for a day of ghoulish and ghastly fun.

There will be a trick or treat treasure hunt, kids face painting and scary hair makeovers.

There will also be three Halloween themed workshops – masks, wand making and the Mad Scientist’s laboratory.On top of that, performers including Vampire Batty Betty will roam the market, while balloon artists will be creating balloon art.

And when you are hungry, be sure to try one of the frightening limited edition dishes from the market’s traders.

 

WEDNESDAY OCTOBER 31, 2PM-5PM

HALLOWEEN TRICK OR TREAT SPOOKTACULAR

FOUNTAIN GATE SHOPPING CENTRE

A spooktacular and free event with free family trick or treating, face painting, entertainment, kids activities and more.

There are three sessions to choose from: 2PM – 3PM, 3PM – 4PM & 4PM – 5PM.

Meet the crew at the ‘Haunted House’ near Target on Level 2. Here, kids check in, collect a map and trick or treat bag to decorate at the craft station.

Be sure to dress your child in their best Halloween costume

* Registrations are essential as there is only 100 spots available each session. The event is designed for children under the age of 12 years old. Parents and guardians are responsible for the supervision and care of their children.

HALLOWEEN HIJINKS – SKELETON SCAVENGER HUNT

CASEY CENTRAL SHOPPING CENTRE

A free event where kids help Casey the Skeleton find her body. Participants collect a clue sheet from 3.30pm and then follow clues to find Casey’s bones located around the centre. Kids return their completed sheet to collectva Trick or Treat prize.

 

WEDNESDAY 31 OCTOBER, 5PM-8PM

HALLOWEEN SPOOKTACULAR

CARDINIA LAKES SHOPPING CENTRE

Bring the kids along for a trick or treat and get a goody bag.

The free event includes face painting, balloon creatures and a photo booth.

 

WEDNESDAY OCTOBER 31

HALLOWEEN AT THE OLD CHEESE FACTORY, BERWICK

The Old Cheese Factory in Berwick will be transformed into a spooky playground, with kids entering the trick or treat trail and meeting costumed characters along the way.

There will be an array of Halloween themed activities, entertainment, roving characters and music.

Everyone is encouraged to dress up in their spookiest gear for the event.Parents have been advised to choose their session wisely for their kids as the atmosphere will get scarier as the sun goes down.Session 1: 3pm – 6pm

Session 2: 6.30pm – 9.30pm

Entry: $12.50 per child (adults FREE)

SPOOKTOBER HALLOWEEN FESTIVAL

ST KILDA TOWN HALL

Spooktober returns and is promised to be scarier than ever.The five-day Halloween Festival will feature two new custom-designed haunts, food truck village, haunted spirits bar, a free little zombies trick or treat trail, spooky stage, costume competitions and much more.Tickets $16.50 – $66.
