      25 June – 16 September

It’s time to venture just 60 minutes from Melbourne’s CBD to the picturesque Yarra

Valley and be amazed by Healesville Sanctuary’s brand new Koala Forest exhibit.

Kids under 16 years old visit the Sanctuary for free during school holidays* and they

are sure to be impressed with the brand new experience celebrating the most iconic

of Australian species –the koala. Take a walk on a treetops journey, wandering the

boardwalk as it weaves its way around the best views of these carefree climbers,

with more koalas on display than ever before.

The brand new experience will open just in time for school holidays on Saturday 25

June – be sure to schedule in the brand new Koala Keeper talk where the many

myths of the quirky koala species will be busted!

They are our fussiest of feeders – and you can learn why they prefer to dine on some

gum leaves over others. With the cushiest job, sitting on their bums all day nestled

into perfect branch forks, snoozing for up to 19 hours a day, this is the high life

      indeed!

For kids – they can climb like a koala, test their balance and nestle into a branch fork

to plant their bony bums, just like a koala does. Or try doing the koala walk, hand

      over hand.

Koala Forest is a brand new exhibit and part of a three phase development to

showcase Australia’s most iconic species and we can’t wait to unveil it!

*Kids under 16 years old visit free during Victorian school holidays, Victoria public

      holidays and on weekends!
