Playdough is so easy to make at home, and this no-cook version means kids can be involved mixing and kneading the dough. Most of the ingredients are probably already in your pantry and the addition of black food colouring and glitter adds to the fun and provides an opportunity to talk about space, stars and the galaxy. Mess factor: 4/5 – hands were a bit black and blue after kneading the dough and the food dye left a stain on the benchtop – magic eraser removed it, but you may want to knead on a chopping board or other surface if you have light coloured benchtops. Glitter was also liberally applied and spread throughout the kitchen.
