    • Cardinia Shire Council’s annual Australia Day ceremony will be held at Cardinia Cultural Centre, 40 Lakeside Boulevard, Pakenham, from 11am to 12pm on Saturday 26 January.

      Council will present the Australia Day 2019 Award winners and welcome its newest citizens in a special Australia Day citizenship ceremony.

      There will be free activities between 12pm to 4pm (after the ceremony).

      Food will also be available to purchase at the event.

      Cardinia Shire Mayor Cr Graeme Moore will announce the award nominees and winners in this year’s categories, which include:

      • Citizen of the Year
      • Senior Citizen of the Year
      • Young Citizen of the Year
      • Community Event of the Year
