Hills Art Market – Emerald

In Emerald, on the edge of The Dandenong Ranges on one of the major tourist scenic routes, a 15 min drive from Belgrave and halfway to Gembrook township, is the colourful and thriving community of the Hill’s Art Market, held every second Saturday of the month.

Wander through a world of artistic imagination, discovering the variety of skills and techniques of the region, with a broad variety of artists on show, including painters, potters, sculptors, illustrators, jewellery makers, wood carvers, pastel portraits, furniture makers, felt artist’s and so much more.

Enjoy the talent of local musicians all day on the music stage and fill your bellies with a few tasty treats. Immerse yourself in a community of visual artists gathering together to exhibit, offer and share their work, and let the kids create and explore in the Kids Art Zone.

The Market is set amongst towering trees at the steps of the iconic Puffing Billy railway station in Emerald, so you can even arrive by steam train! Or park in Emerald village, metres from the market space with access to all that Emerald village has to offer: the famous Emerald village bakery, Puffing Billy playground, the Gemco theatre, cafes, shops and amenities.

It is a must-see visit to anyone touring the Dandenong Ranges. The Hills Art Market is located on level ground and can be accessed by wheelchairs via Memorial Avenue beside the Emerald RSL car park. Come along and create a memory with your family.
