Dragon Park hatches in Officer

A giant dragon is the centrepiece of a new playground in Officer.

Located in the Arcadia estate, Dragon Park is an all-abilities play space spanning nearly one hectare.

The dragon is like nothing we’ve ever seen at a park before! There is a climbing net leading into the mouth of the giant dragon and to a large slide!

There are also smaller slides that stem from its body.

The playground also features a variety of climbing structures, swings and a motion carousel. The play equipment is surrounded by a rubber base.

Dragon Park is already proving popular, according to a post on the Arcadia Facebook page.

“The Park is experiencing a high number of visitors. We encourage people to continue to follow government rules and obey traffic rules. If there is no parking available, consider that the Park is already too full and to return on another day or time,” the post read.

“There are many other great parks throughout the Arcadia community and the local area to visit if the Dragon Park appears to be overcrowded.”

Arcadia has also urged people not to visit the park if it’s outside their 5km radius.

“The Dragon Park is not going away and will be around to enjoy for years to come.”

You will find the park on Flanagan Avenue.
