The name of the royal baby has finally been revealed.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have announced their newborn son has been named Louis Arthur Charles.
The name Louis has come as somewhat of a surprise given Arthur. James, Albert, Philip and Alexander had been popular with bookies.
The Prince was delivered at London’s St. Mary’s Hospital, weighing 8lbs 7oz (3.8kg), on April 23 at 11.01am local time.
Just seven hours later, William and Kate emerged from the hospital to show their newborn to the world.
Afterwards, the royal couple took their bundle of joy home to Kensington Palace to join their son George and daughter Charlotte.
“Their Royal Highnesses would like to thank all staff at the hospital for the care and treatment they have received,” Kensington Palace said in a statement.
